Under normal circumstances, the glass bulb can withstand a certain amount of pressure, keeping the sprinkler in a closed state. When a fire breaks out, the ambient temperature rises sharply, and the liquid inside the glass bulb expands upon heating, increasing the pressure. When the temperature reaches the nominal operating temperature of the sprinkler, the glass bulb will shatter, the seal of the sprinkler is broken, and water sprays out from the sprinkler under pressure. It is evenly distributed over the protected area through the deflector, achieving the functions of extinguishing and controlling the fire. The glass bulb sprinkler has many advantages. It is highly sensitive in operation and can quickly respond to changes in the fire temperature, spraying water for fire extinguishing in a timely manner and effectively controlling the spread of the fire. At the same time, its structure is relatively simple and easy to install, making it suitable for various types of building sites, such as residential buildings, commercial buildings, industrial plants, and so on. In addition, the glass bulb sprinkler also has good sealing performance and corrosion resistance, and can maintain stable performance during long-term use. According to different usage requirements, glass bulb sprinklers are available in different nominal operating temperatures and flow coefficients. Common nominal operating temperatures include 57°C, 68°C, 79°C, etc., to adapt to different environmental temperatures and fire hazard levels of the sites.
